Sodalite is a deep blue crystal that is often confused with Lapis Lazuli, however, Lapis contains pyrite whilst Sodalite does not. It was technically discovered in 1806 in Greenland, but ancient civilizations such as the Peruvians traded Sodalite as far back as 2600BC.
