Howlite Elephant - B

Howlite is a porous crystal that is often dyed to imitate other stones, notably turquoise, however, it is a powerful crystal in its natural white state. It was discovered in the mid-19th Century in Canada, and named after the geologist who found it, Henry How. It is regarded as a very calming crystal, excellent for mediation and sleep. It is often confused with Magnesite, as they have a very similar appearance, and are both often dyed bright colors. Although most often seen in the recognizable white masses, it can also be found in transparent crystals, although this is very rare.
