Arfvedsonite is often confused with Astrophyllite, as both have a similar-looking crystal structure when polished. In fact, many shops sell Arfvedsonite as "Blue Astrophyllite" when in fact they are different minerals. It was discovered in the 19th Century and named after the Swedish chemist who discovered Lithium, Johan August Arfwedson.
